Davide Terrraneo- A. Alpine Guide

Passionate and fascinated by the Central Alps
DAVIDE TERRANEO- originally from Cantù, born in 1987, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is an extreme skier and freerider, currently an Aspiring Guide of the Lombardy College. He is co-founder of the group Alpine Guides Milan, together with his friend Andrea Bormida. From an early age, he frequented Valle Spluga thanks to his parents and their second home in Madesimo, where he learned the art of skiing and quickly fell in love with the magnificent slopes of Groppera and Pizzo Stella. He has explored every corner of the Alps, from the Dolomites to the Gran Casse, repeating the Grande Course of extreme skiing and opening new lines, many of them in inaccessible places in the Alps, such as the north faces of the Vincent Pyramid (4215 m) and the Taschhorn (4491 m). He is not attracted to records, the competitive approach in the mountains and koms on Strava. Although he is fascinated by the Central Alps, which are the mountains closest to home, he does not consider them a starting point, but a goal to be achieved, in evidence the first repeat of the historic North Face of Disgrazia (3678 m) or the new lines along forgotten walls such as those of Cengalo (3369 m), Pizzi del Ferro west (3200m) and Piz Prievlus (3608 m).
In addition to his practical experience, he is also passionate about the history of these activities and has collaborated for several years with Skialper magazine and Giorgio Daidola’s new book “No Fall Zone.” He is co-founder of the Skiplace.it / Skier’s Market network and manages the freeride department.
